Amy Lawrenson is an established health and beauty journalist with over 12 years experience working in magazine publishing.
An authority in beauty and health, she started her career online at elleuk.com progressing to Associate Health and Beauty Editor across both ELLE magazine and the website. In March 2015, Amy took on the role of Beauty & Fitness Editor at Women’s Health editing the Best Body, Good Looks, and Slim Down sections in the magazine. Later that year, she became Editorial Director at Byrdie.co.uk, where she oversaw the website and social channels. Today, Amy is based in Amsterdam and works as a freelance beauty and lifestyle journalist.
Amy’s portfolio includes in-depth, science-based, beauty and broad-ranging health, fitness and wellbeing features. As well as writing, she also has experience with commissioning and editing. She spent many years as a reporter backstage at the international shows, producing trend content and reports for ELLE each season.
Video and Public Speaking Experience
With extensive experience in video, Amy has produced numerous trend-based shoots and how-to videos with artists including Andrew Gallimore, Lisa Eldridge, Sharon Dowsett and Luke Hersheson, as well as fitness videos for Women's Health. She also has experience with public speaking and chairing panel talks at London Fashion Festival (previously London Fashion Weekend), Harvey Nichols and more. Amy has been a guest on several podcasts and also written podcast scrips for a well-known retailer.
Amy has consulted on special projects and produced press materials and promotions for numerous brands including Target in the US, Bumble and bumble, Coty, Clarins, Kiehl's and TRESemme.

As well as editorial content, Amy has created press materials and newsletters for various brands including Nude by Nature, Matrix, Biolage and The Beauty Editor.
Amy has extensive experience of organising and publicising consumer events from an ELLE x Fat Buddha Yoga event on top of the Shard to a Women’s Health event with Kayla Itsines at 1Rebel.
She won the Johnson & Johnson Best Online Beauty Journalist award three years in a row from 2012-2014, and was awarded Best Online Beauty/Grooming Journalist at the Fashion Monitor Awards in 2013.
Amy is also a YMCA Fit qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer.
